Shilpa Shetty was born into a close-knit community in Mangalore, India. She started her career modeling for Limca sodas at the age of 16 and made her film debut two years later in the movie Baazigar where she played a woman murdered by her psychopathic boyfriend. She was a contestant in Celebrity Big Brother UK, where she was crowned the winner following a racial controversy involving her housemates. Recently, Shilpa along with her boyfriend Raj Kundra, became part owners of the Rajasthan Royals cricket team, after paying an estimated 15.4 million dollars.
